Orlando Vacation | What I Packed

Packing for a trip used to be a stressful task for me, but I enjoy it much more now that I do it in an organized way! My main tip is to start early! I will begin thinking of outfits a few weeks in advance. That way I have time to order anything else that I may need or want. One week ahead of time I will begin laying out my daily outfits for the trip. Every trip is different, but I love to pack neutral pieces that can be styled many ways. I also make a list of essential items that I don’t want to forget. I’m sharing a quick blog post on everything I packed for our weeklong trip to Orlando, Florida. This includes outfits for the Disney and Universal theme parks, outfits for shopping or going out to dinner, and my travel essentials that I brought along.

Theme Park Outfits

  • Biker Shorts: My main goal for the theme parks was to dress cute, but extremely comfortable. These biker shorts were just that! They are perfect for keeping cool during lots of walking, and they dry easily if wet. I have 2 pairs of these from Amazon, and I like them just as much if not more than my name brand pair.
  • Drawstring Waist Shorts: Another Amazon item that I love, these shorts were way more comfortable than I expected! They didn’t ride up or cause any discomfort on my legs. They are very lightweight and breathable.
  • Denim Shorts: I was hesitant to wear denim shorts to the parks, but this pair from Zara were great! I love the high waist and loose fit throughout the legs.
  • Bodysuit Tank: This is another item I love so much that I brought 2! I can’t get over this bodysuit only being $10 because it’s so cute and comfortable.
  • Mickey Mouse Tank: You can’t go to Disney without at least one themed outfit haha! My family and I all coordinated with a Mickey Mouse theme for our first day in the parks. This Mickey Mouse tank is only $12.99 and something I will be able to wear again. The Mickey t-shirt I got for my husband is linked here.
  • Pocket Tee: This is a great basic to have and easily pairs with anything! It comes in 3 colors.
  • Leopard sneakers: I was more excited to pack sneakers for this trip than anything else! These leopard print ones are so cute and were perfect for Animal Kingdom of course. 😉 This style was extremely comfortable!
  • Black & white sneakers: These are another pair of Adidas I’m loving! These are also a more affordable pair. I sized down 1/2 size in both pairs.

Going Out Outfits

  • Amazon Dresses: I grabbed these 2 summer dresses to bring on this trip for going out to dinners. Since it happened to be the week of the 4th of July, I ended up ordering a red dress and a blue dress. They are both lightweight material but good quality for a summer dress. They also come in different colors.
  • Linen Romper: Unfortunately, this romper sold out quickly! But what I love most about it is the lightweight linen material. They do have a dress and pants in stock in the same material and color!
  • Linen 2 Piece Set: I have worn this set several times this season because it’s so good! It’s extremely comfortable and flattering, plus it’s under $20. It comes in several colors but this camel color looks great with anything.
  • Straight Leg Jeans: I really don’t go anywhere without packing my favorite pair of jeans! The fit and distressing on these jeans are perfect! They are currently on clearance and available in some sizes.
  • High Neck Bodysuit: I am obsessed with this bodysuit! The material is super flattering and I wear it all of the time, even to work under a cardigan or denim jacket.
  • Low Heel Sandals: These heels were the only “dressy” shoes that I brought and they did not disappoint! They are super comfortable and made any outfit 10x cuter. Mine are sold out in this color, but this pair and this pair are both extremely similar. I love the color!
  • Straw Bag: Does this purse not scream summertime in Florida?! I love it! It easily fit my phone, wallet, hand sanitizer, and lip gloss. It also matched really well with the sandals.

The Essentials

  • TULA Radiance Routine Kit: I bought this kit right before our trip because I use and love all 4 of these products. You save a total of $63 when buying the kit versus buying the items individually, and you also get this super cute bag! In addition to these 4 products, I also brought my morning toner, nighttime toner, day and night moisturizer, and tinted primer all from TULA.
  • St. Tropez Lotions: If you watch my Instagram stories, you know I tried out the limited edition St. Tropez x Ashley Graham self tanner before leaving for this trip. WOW! I love it! The texture is so luxe and it applies smoother than any other self tanner I’ve used. I packed my St. Tropez Maintenance lotion for every day use and my St. Tropez Gradual Tan lotion to extend the life of my tan towards the end of the week.
  • Kitsch Masks: I packed a variety of my favorite Kitsch masks for this trip! The patterns are so cute and I have nearly all of them. While masks are optional in the majority of areas for vaccinated guests, we still chose to wear them in lines and other crowded places. They are currently still required on most transportation.
  • Fanny Pack: This is hands down my most loved item of this trip! I’m so glad I bought this! Not only is it super trendy right now, it made carrying my personal items around the park a breeze. For only $20 this is a really great find! It also comes in multiple colors.
  • Portable Charger: Since I was using the park apps to see ride wait times, view the map, etc. throughout the day, I was super glad I brought my portable charger.
  • Hand Sanitizer: If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve probably already heard me rave about this hand sanitizer. This brand is the only one that doesn’t dry my hands out! It feels like you’re putting on hand sanitizer and lotion in one. I love the travel pack that also comes with my favorite Hempz lotion.
  • Sunscreen: I used my TULA sunscreen for my face, but brought along this body butter with SPF 40 for my shoulders, chest, etc. where I frequently burn. I love that it’s not greasy and it’s made with clean ingredients.
  • Travel Sunglasses Case: Another Amazon find I’m super happy with is this travel sunglasses case! It was perfect for safely packing my favorite sunglasses and keeping in my purse. The one I have holds 3 pairs, but they also have some that hold 4 or 5 pairs.
  • Claw Clips: I used these clips every day while on vacation! I would typically start with my hair down, but made sure to keep one of these in my fanny pack at the parks every day. They also make for a super quick and easy updo when heading out to dinner.
  • Large Tote Bag: This is the perfect beach/travel bag and it’s currently on sale for $18! It has 2 larger compartments with several zippers and other pouches. It easily carried everything I needed for the trip. I love that it has a hard bottom and holds it’s shape. The colors also match with anything.

I hope this post is helpful for you as you pack for your next big vacation! Check out my Orlando travel guide here for all you need to know about heading to Disney World or Universal Studios.
